Equal Opportunities

Right Corecare is concerned to ensure the fairest possible treatment of all employees and prospective employees. The following Equal Opportunity Policy applies throughout the Company.

Equal Opportunity

  • The Company operates as an equal opportunity employer and does not permit discrimination, either direct or indirect, by its employees against any other person on the grounds of colour, race, or ethnic origin, gender, marital status, disability, sexuality, creed or religion.
  • Direct discrimination is defined as treating any person less favourably than others are or would be treated in the same or similar circumstances.
  • Indirect discrimination would occur if a requirement or condition is applied which adversely affects a significant proportion of people of one race, gender or martial status.
  • Right Corecare regards discrimination defined above, as gross misconduct and any employee who, in the course of his or her employment, discriminates against any other person will be liable for dismissal.

Principles

  • It is Right Corecare's intention to ensure that recruitment of staff is conducted on a fair and non-discriminatory basis. All recruitment advertising, including that conducted on behalf of Right Corecare by any third party will refer to the fact that we are an equal opportunity employer. Such advertising will be conducted through high quality national and local media aimed at attracting interest across the spectrum of nationalities and ethnic groups.
  • The suitability of both internal and external applicants for positions within Right Corecare, will be measured against necessary job requirements. Such requirements will in themselves ensure equal opportunities for all.
  • To promote full compliance with this policy, regular monitoring of the selection of applicants for initial engagement, training and development and subsequent progress or promotion will be conducted. Monitoring will be focused on ethnic origin, gender and relative progression within Right Corecare. All employees will be regularly invited to undertake a career review with their respective manager and, if desired with a facilitator present during the career review discussion.
  • To ensure the widest commitment of the policy within Right Corecare, a copy will be issued to all newly engaged staff and a further copy will be posted on notice boards within the offices.
  • It is the responsibility of all Directors and Managers within the Company to comply with this policy and to ensure their subordinate staff are implementing the policy. The principles embodied in this policy must be reflected in all our dealings with sponsors and clients and the public.
  • The European Vice President, is responsible on behalf of Right Corecare for the effective implementation and monitoring of this policy.
